This race is intended for riders who like to race! The format is unusual, with most races open to all riders, with specified races open to certain groups, with results taken from an overall omnium. Category 5 riders will have separate races. The races follow each other quickly, and riders are not expected to ride every race. Exact schedule will be announced on race day. The race is named for Ed Steffani, who designed Hellyer County Park Velodrome. Held under the rules of USA Cycling.

Registration: opens at 11:30 am, and closes at 12:45 pm. First race is at 1:00 pm. Entry fee is $15, and includes $3 USA Cycling insurance surcharge and $5 Northern California Velodrome Association surcharge. Juniors are free. Santa Clara County release required. Race day registration only. All races are held under the rules of USA Cycling. Rain cancels.

Directions: Hellyer Park Velodrome is located in Hellyer Park in south San Jose. Take US 101 to the Hellyer Avenue off-ramp, go west (away from hills) to the stop sign at the entrance to the park. Go straight into Hellyer Park (Santa Clara County parking fee will be charged), and follow the signs to the velodrome. Hellyer County Park Velodrome is a facility of the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation system.
