Saturday, May 4th, 2013 Hellyer Park Velodrome, San Jose, California Held Under USA Cycling Event Permit #2013-1211
Each group will do the massed-start championship events for the age group: Boys and Girls 10-12 = 1 KM Scratch Race and 2 KM Scratch Race.Girls 13-14 = 4 KM Scratch Race and 8 KM Points Race. Boys 13-14 = 4 KM Scratch Race and 10 KM Points Race. Girls 15-16 = 6 KM Scratch Race and 10 KM Points Race. Boys 15-16 = 8 KM Scratch Race and 15 KM Points Race. Girls 17-18 = 7.5 KM Scratch Race and 15 KM Points Race. Boys 17-18 = 10 KM Scratch Race and 25 KM Points Race. Shortest events for youngest riders will be first, points race for 17-18 will be last. Groups may be combined or distances modified as appropriate. Timed events will follow massed-start events. Exact schedule will be announced on race day. Held under the rules of USA Cycling. Registration opens at 11:30 am, and closes at 12:45 pm. First race is at 1:00 pm. Entry fee is $10, and includes $3 USA Cycling insurance surcharge. Santa Clara County release required. Prizes are race-day recognition. All races are held under the rules of USA Cycling. Rain cancels. Directions: Hellyer County Park Velodrome is located in Hellyer County Park in south San Jose. Take US 101 to the Hellyer Avenue off-ramp, go west (away from hills) to the stop sign at the entrance to the park. Go straight into Hellyer County Park (Santa Clara County parking fee will be charged), and follow the signs to the velodrome. Hellyer County Park Velodrome is a facility of the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation system. |
